Nathan's knack for problem solving led him to study both Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He had an early career opportunity to work for the burgeoning aerospace startup Eclipse Aviation where he further developed his love for solving problems in the hands-on and fast-paced startup environment. This led to an opportunity to create solutions, at literally a global scale, with human spaceflight.
Working with a stellar team of engineers, Nathan led the development of some of the very first hardware on Lockheed Martin's Orion Program contract with NASA. He helped deliver critical hardware for the program's first flight test, Pad Abort 1. Afterward, he led the development of other spacecraft systems such as the Environment Control and Life Support System to sustain astronauts on the Orion spacecraft.
Seeing the opportunity to apply so much of his experience in aerospace to other industries, he returned to the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business to pursue an MBA. Nathan focused on strategy and operations at Michigan Ross, with a specific interest in improving healthcare. During his time at Michigan Ross, he studied abroad at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in Beijing, China. Nathan also had the opportunity to work on the strategic growth plan of a post-acute care, inpatient rehabilitation facility - a new venture associated with the world's largest eye hospital - in Tamil Nadu, India.
Nathan started Falstad Consulting after Ross and helped lead a manufacturing turnaround. He is excited to help you with your business consulting needs.
